Success Begins when People~Connect!

This week in our Friday News Minute, we look at 5 ways that you can use the internet and Social Networking to make your life and the lives of others easier and more enjoyable! Just set up an account for free and begin to use these services!

#1 Get Organized with TaDa List service

For those of us that enjoy our to-do lists but have trouble remembering where we put them and/or want an easy way to share our lists with our bosses, employees, co-workers, spouse, significant other and children, check out www.tadalist.com

A wonderful tool for you to use with others as it can automatically communicate with others via email or RSS feed when you an add an item to your list or when you have completed an item from your list.

#2 Recognize Someone Electronically

Need to say "Thank You" or want to send a kind word to someone without the fuss of a pen, paper or an envelope? Send them a Drop for their Bucket. The authors of The Bucket Book have a website http://www.bucketbook.com/content/default.aspx?ci=12130 where you can send customized electronic "Drops" of recognition that are sure to make someone's day a little bit better because they will know that you took the time to show them that you care...and that you noticed what they have done.

#3 Sharing Pictures

If indeed "A picture is worth a thousand words" then you'll enjoy sharing and posting your pictures with family, friends and strangers on Flickr. Whether you want to share and stay in touch with others, organize and upload photos, or just explore the posts of others, Flickr gives you the opportunity to "tag" pictures for easy retrieval and sharing. It's a great way to see the world...without leaving your computer. www.flickr.com

#4 Instantly Publish Your Thoughts to the World...Create Your Own Blog

If you've always wanted to be published or to write a book...blogging just might be for you. Have a thought to share with the world? Blog it! Want to publish your thoughts about a topic and get others feedback on it? Blog it! A great way to find people with common interests and beliefs, blogging allows you to have "a voice" on the internet. Check out www.blogger.com/start to begin your own blog or to find out what others are blogging about.

FYI...my blog can be found at www.talkingaboutyourbusiness.com

#5 Get LinkedIn

LinkedIn is an online network of more than 20 million experienced professionals from around the world, representing 150 industries. With your completed profile you can find potential clients, service providers, subject experts, and partners who come recommended, be found for business opportunities, search for great jobs, discover inside connections that can help you land jobs and close deals, and get introduced to other professionals through the people you know.

It might take a little time to build up your network of people, but the benefits can definitely be worth it. www.linkedin.com
