Success Begins when People~Connect!

This week in our Friday News Minute we look at gratitude, being thankful and utilizing these choices to make our lives more passionate and fulfilling.

Life can be difficult. If you look for the passion in your everyday life you can make the difficult times not seem so tough. It is like looking for the silver lining in the cloud. If you expect your life to be amazing it will be that and so much more.

When you are with people who are negative or unhappy you cannot make them see things in a better way. It is not your job or place to make them do anything they do not want to do. Instead, become a great listener. Let people talk about anything they want to get out of their system. If they ask you what you think say something positive that does not negate what they have been saying. We are all sensitive about our situations. Many times people want you to just listen and not give advice.

Others will learn more from what you do than from what you say. Lead by example. If you are in a tough situation just smile and be accepting of that you cannot change. By staying calm and dealing with people and events in a rational way you will see that life will become easier day by day.

Come from a place of gratitude every moment of every day. Start when you first open your eyes in the morning. We all have so much to be thankful for and it is a shame to just take it for granted. If you have a roof over your head, indoor plumbing, as much water as you need, and enough food to eat every single day then you are living in the top 5% of the world’s population, economically speaking. Just think about that for a minute and let it sink in. It doesn’t matter if someone scratches your car door if you have to worry about how you will get clean drinking water for your family later that day. We are so blessed to have what we do and we are obligated to think about those less fortunate than we are. There will always be more people who do not have as much as others.

So live every day with the passion of knowing that you can make your life into anything that you choose. Reach out to others and show them that you truly care. Life is too short to let the little things upset you. Be positive, be happy, expect the best from every person every day, and your life will be transformed.
